At Big Moose, we like to think of camping as Maine’s most natural lodging experience. Children and adults from one to one hundred enjoy sleeping in the fresh Maine air, where clear nights open the sky to the stars. We offer 6 lean-to’s, 35 tent sites and 6 water and electric hook-up sites for RV’s. We can accommodate RV’s as long as 70 feet. Interested in Glamping? Ask us about our sleep cabins! Our bathroom facilities provide quarter-operated hot showers. Large groups can be accommodated. Remote sites available. Quiet hours is 10pm but music must be shut off by 9pm.

All RV’s need to pull over and walk to the Office. Please don’t pull down into the driveway – you will need to back up!

Cancellations & Changes

As an independently owned and operated inn, we do not overbook our accommodations—each reservation is made for a specific date, accommodation, and number of guests, and we are expecting you! Cancellations or changes made with short notice impact us significantly. We do sympathize, however, we must maintain our business policy due to our limited season and high demand.

• Reservations may be changed, moved, or canceled prior to 30 days of arrival with a full refund.
• Within 30 days of arrival, no refunds, changes, or adjustments will be permitted, and payments will be forfeited.
• No adjustments or refunds are available for early departures.

Please note: There are no exceptions to our cancellation and change policy, whether for reasons of sickness, family emergency, or weather. For added peace of mind, we offer optional trip insurance through Worry Free Booking. This coverage protects against weather, illness, injury, or travel delays, and we highly recommend adding it at the time of booking
